HERRIN, Ill. (WSIL) — Four people were arrested in connection to a drug investigation in Herrin on Friday.
The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office said their deputies served a search warrant on February 21, at a home in the 800-block of North 16th Street in Herrin.
The sheriff’s office said suspects were in the yard when they arrived but had to force their way inside after contact with other occupants in the home were unsuccessful.
Four people, including a 1-year-old child were reported living in the home.
After searching the home, the sheriff’s office said they found methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, drug packaging materials and digital scales.
“This search warrant is the culmination of a twelve month investigation related to the delivery of narcotics and stolen property,” stated Williamson County Sheriff Jeff Diederich.
Authorities arrested Robert Weir Jr., Autumn Weir, Steven Litton and Brittany A. Stanley.

- Possession of Methamphetamine – Class 1 Felony
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Class A Misdemeanor
All four were taken to the Williamson County Jail while the toddler was released to a grandparent. The sheriff’s office also said they contacted the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
