A pair were captured on CCTV throwing rocks at fish swimming in a pond and hurling foliage into the water.
The duo were filmed at Acacia Hall in Dartford, with the local council posting images of the damage caused, and appealing for information.
Dartford Borough Council later confirmed the case was closed and it was no longer attempting to trace them.
In a post on Facebook last week, a spokesman said: “We would like to speak to the individuals pictured, who may help us identify those responsible for vandalism at Acacia Hall.
“Two males were seen on CCTV cameras on Friday, January 10, throwing large rocks and wood into the pond trying to hit fish between 4.11pm and 4.30pm.
“They were then seen again on Saturday, January 11, between 1.40pm and 4.31pm, where they appeared to pull wood and trees out of the ground, and then throw them into the pond.
“Environmental crime is a blight on our borough, and we’ve decided enough is enough.
“We hope that the photos and videos we’re compiling will help residents to identify the perpetrators so that we can take action.”
In a more recent statement, they thanked those who assisted assisted with the appeal, adding: “We have received the information we required.”
The Grade II-listed historic building and estate were revamped in 2021 as part of a multi-million-pound site overhaul.
A section of the River Darent, which runs to Dartford Central Park via the Acacia Hall development, was also revamped and restored.
