Archbishop Dennis Schnurr recovering after being hospitalized for fall at home

The Archdiocese of Cincinnati says that Archbishop Dennis Schnurr is recovering after falling at his home last weekend.The archdiocese says that he injured his back in the fall. He was admitted to the hospital on Monday, Feb. 3, and underwent surgery on Feb. 5 to address damage to his lower lumbar region.According to the archdiocese, the surgery went well and Schnurr is continuing to recover.The archdiocese asks that people continue to keep Schnurr in their prayers for his continued recovery.Over the summer, Schnurr was diagnosed with Stage 3 bowel cancer and has been undergoing rounds of chemotherapy over the past few months.Schnurr first became archbishop of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati in December 2009.
