CROW AGENCY, Mont. – FEMA is extending its support to Crow Tribe members affected by the severe storm and straight-line winds on August 6, 2024. Temporary Disaster Recovery Centers will be set up at various locations to assist with disaster assistance applications.
Crow Tribe members who experienced damage to their homes or property can apply for help with repairs and other needs. The centers will open at 1:00 p.m. on the first day and operate from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on subsequent days.
The locations and dates for the centers are as follows:
– January 21 – 25: Lodge Grass City Hall, 212 Hester Avenue, Lodge Grass, MT 59050
– January 27 – February 1: Wyola Community Center, 261 Little Horn Road, Wyola, MT 59089
– February 3 – 8: Yellowtail Market at Fort Smith, 81 1st Street East, Fort Smith, MT 59035
FEMA and U.S. Small Business Administration specialists will be present to explain disaster assistance programs, help with federal assistance applications, and provide information on additional resources.
Individuals who have already applied can visit the centers to check their application status, ask questions, and provide additional documentation.
The Disaster Recovery Center at the Black Lodge Community Center will remain open with regular hours:
– Location: 6772 Crow River Road, Hardin, Montana, 59034 (I-90 at the Dunmore exit, #503)
– Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday (Closed Sundays and holidays)
