FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) – The Arkansas Razorbacks are headed to the Liberty Bowl in Memphis.

The Razorbacks will play Texas Tech on December 27th. The last time the Hogs were in the Liberty Bowl in 2022, they beat Kansas 55-53 in overtime. It’s the 4th time since 2009 the Hogs have played in the Liberty Bowl.

The Hogs are bowl-eligible for the fourth time under Sam Pittman.

The Razorbacks will make their 45th bowl appearance but are meeting the Red Raiders in a bowl game for the first time.

Pittman joins Frank Broyles, Lou Holtz, Ken Hatfield and Houston Nutt as the only Arkansas coaches to lead their teams to bowl games in four of their first five seasons.

The Razorbacks will make their seventh appearance in the Liberty Bowl dating back to 1971 against Tennessee. The Hogs have played Auburn (1984), Georgia (1987), East Carolina (2010), Kansas State (2016) and Kansas in the team’s six prior appearances.

Season ticket holders and Razorback Foundation members who requested Liberty Bowl tickets will be notified of the status of their order no later than Friday, Dec. 13.

Students at the University of Arkansas are expected to receive an email with ticket information Sunday evening for the allotment of tickets that have already been reserved for UofA students.

General public tickets can be requested for the Liberty Bowl for those with a Razorback Ticket Center account Sunday evening through Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 5 p.m. All bowl game ticket requests will be fulfilled and allocated based on availability.
