This is what I call an “upside down” day, or a “backwards day”. It will feel even colder too when the wind chill is take into account.I don’t think we’ll see much sun either on Wednesday. It could be a real nasty day, so be prepared!Then comes the arctic blast. Very cold air drops in overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning where the Northshore will wake up in the 20s while we’ll be around freezing here in New Orleans.At least we’ll find a sunny day on Thursday, but it will remain windy.Top temperatures will be cold only maxing out around 47/48 degrees in many spots.Friday morning will be just as cold with some of the coldest spots close to 20 along the Mississippi border.High temperatures will still be cold topping out around 50 in many places.Saturday morning should find the last freeze with this round of arctic air over parts of the Northshore.Saturday’s high temperatures will still wind up about 10 degrees below average for the time of the year.Our next round of rain moves in Saturday night into Sunday morning, but differences are starting to show in some our data. I’ve still got about a 30% chance of light rain Saturday night.Sunday will be a bit warmer while we’ll be back in the 70s next week.Look for rounds of heavy rain tonight the a cloudy, windy, and much colder day on Wednesday.
