You know, I think that’s why you you got to do everything you can to get those deals done early,” Burrow continued, sending a clear message to the front office about his top targets, both of whom have questions surrounding their futures in the Queen City.Tuesday’s comments by Burrow were far from the first time he’s spoken up about his desire to keep Higgins a Bengal.After Cincinnati’s win over the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football, Burrow said that he was “confident we’re going to be able to do what it takes to get Tee back.”I know that I’m going to do what it takes to get him back, and so is he,” he continued. “We’ve had those talks.”Burrow later doubled-down on those comments early the next week, saying he would be “very disappointed,” if Higgins were to depart the organization this offseason.Nearly a year ago, Burrow was in Higgins’ corner, saying at his end-of-season press conference last season that Higgins is “what being a Bengal is all about.” With one week left to play in the regular season this year, Higgins has set a career-high in touchdown receptions (10) and is on pace to set a new career mark in receiving yards per game (currently at 78.0).
