I-90 eastbound is open completely this afternoon. Westbound traffic is completely blocked by a semi, Park County Rural Fire District 1 said, at mile marker 334.

I-90 westbound has reopened between Columbus and Big Timber.
I-90 eastbound remains closed between Big Timber and 377 Interchange near Greycliff.
Eastbound traffic will continue to be detoured at Big Timber onto Old Highway 10 until the 377 interchange.
Road conditions are better but still severe for drivers.

The closure is now effective in both east and westbound lanes of traffic.
The road is closed westbound from Junction US 191 North-Big Timber-Exit 370 to 0.25 mile east of Junction Montana 78-Columbus-Exit 408 due to an event. This closure is in effect until further notice.
Additionally, the road is closed eastbound from 0.50 mile east of Junction Montana 78-Columbus-Exit 408 to 0.50 mile west of Junction US 191 North-Big Timber-Exit 370. This closure is also due to an event and remains in effect until further notice.
Drivers should also be cautious of blowing snow and reduced visibility from Junction US 191 North-Big Timber-Exit 370 to 2 miles west of Reed Point-Exit 392.
Scattered ice and frost are present from 2 miles west of Reed Point-Exit 392 to Park City. The conditions worsen with scattered ice, frost, and blowing snow from Park City to Shiloh-Exit 443.
Between Shiloh-Exit 443 and Junction US 87 North-Billings-Exit 452, drivers will encounter scattered snow, ice, and blowing snow.
MONTANA – The eastbound lanes on I-90 East are currently closed from Big Timber at Exit 370 to Columbus. The closure is due to hazardous conditions, according to the Montana Department of Transportation.
Travelers are advised to consider alternate routes.
The incident was reported on the 511mt.net map at 9:57 pm on Jan 7. There has been no official statement made by MDT regarding the nature of what caused the closure or how long it might last.
