A Hesperia man pleaded not guilty to 19 felony charges this week after a law enforcement raid at his home turned up 16 guns, along with other illegal weapons, methamphetamine, fentanyl, heroin, ecstasy and LSD, authorities said.
Kaylo Ray Starostka, 37, appeared in San Bernardino County Superior Court on Monday, where he denied 14 counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm, along with one count each of being a felon in possession of ammunition, possession of drugs, possession of drugs for sales, possession of drugs while armed and possession of a suppressor, records show.

He was arrested shortly before noon on Feb. 3, when deputies served a search warrant at his home in the 18400 block of Temecula Avenue, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
“During the service of the search warrant, deputies located 16 firearms, a large amount of ammunition, large capacity rifle magazines, three pairs of brass knuckles, five switch blades, and approximately 1.2 pounds of suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl, heroin, ecstasy, and (LSD),” sheriff’s officials said in a written statement.
Bail was set at $500,000, records show. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Feb. 24 in the Victorville branch of San Bernardino County Superior Court.
