THE WEATHER RESULTED IN ONE CONFIRMED DEATH WHEN A VEHICLE WAS OVERTAKEN BY FLOOD IN BONNIEVILLE, KENTUCKY, LEAVING ONE PERSON DEAD AND ANOTHER PERSON STILL MISSING. AUTHORITIES IN CLAY COUNTY, IN THE SOUTHERN PART OF KENTUCKY, SAY THAT A 73 YEAR OLD MAN WAS KILLED YESTERDAY WHEN FLOODWATERS SWEPT HIM AWAY. The Ohio River reached a crest nearly twice its usual size on Sunday.This is according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s National Water Prediction Service.Usually, the Ohio River sits at about 25.4 feet without any interference from weather. However, on Sunday at 7 p.m., the crest was observed to reach a height of 48.9 feet in Cincinnati.This is nearly at flooding stage, which NOAA defines as a height of 52 feet.This comes after several inches of snow and rain blanketed the region this weekend.Going forward this week, the river is only expected to continue to rise.
