Cincinnati allowed 30 or more points in six games in 2024 season, all coming before the Bengals’ five-game winning streak to end the season.In addition, the Bengals allowed the eighth-most total yards this season (5,921), an average of 348.2 yards per game.A former Penn State tight end, Golden has extensive coaching experience, including two stints as a college head coach with Temple and Miami.It took several seasons for Golden to find success at Temple, though he won 17 games over his final two seasons in 2009-10, parlaying that success into landing the Miami job.Golden put together two winning seasons while leading the Hurricanes, though he was dismissed about halfway through the 2015 season.In between his time at Miami and joining the Bengals’ staff in 2020, Golden coached tight ends for the Detroit Lions from 2016-19.
