Born in Detroit, Mr. Shajenko earned a Bachelor of Science in physics, mathematics, and chemistry from the University of Connecticut and a Master of Science in computer science from New York University Polytechnic School of Engineering. His transition into software development was serendipitous; while he was not initially drawn to the field, he became fascinated after taking a summer class and was further inspired by the early success of Microsoft. Despite some challenges along the way, including economic downturns that impacted his first venture Stratos Technology, his resilience and innovative mindset have buoyed his success.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Shajenko is deeply committed to giving back to the community. Since 2010, he has been a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity Seattle-King County, where he contributes his skills toward construction projects. This engagement reflects his broader commitment to civic-minded organizations and underscores the importance of community service in his life. Mr. Shajenko’s personal life is marked by a love for the outdoors, with hiking and bicycling among his favorite activities.

Throughout his career, Mr. Shajenko has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to excellence in software engineering within the medical device sector.
