ALA MOANA, Hawaii (KHON2) — Ala Moana Center is about to get even sweeter with the grand opening of Baskin-Robbins’ 13th Hawaii location this Sunday, Dec. 8.

Located next to Cookie Corner and Jungle Fun on the ground level, the new store promises to be a hit with locals and tourists alike, offering a modern, reimagined space designed to elevate the ice cream experience.
“We’re really excited to open a Baskin-Robbins location at Ala Moana Center,” said John Kim, President and CEO of 31-Aikalima LLC, the Hawaii franchise owner.
To mark the grand opening, Baskin-Robbins will be celebrating with a special event featuring Coney, the brand’s beloved mascot.
The first 500 guests will receive a Baskin-Robbins swag bag, so be sure to arrive early to enjoy the festivities and grab some free goodies.
This opening brings Baskin-Robbins’ total number of locations in Hawaii to 13, and John Kim is already looking ahead to further expansion. “We’re on track to grow to 30 locations across the state.”
When asked about the most popular flavors, both Kim and Johnathan Biggs, Brand Head of Baskin-Robbins U.S. at Inspire Brands, agreed that Oreo Cookies & Cream is the top choice among Hawaii customers.
“It’s not just a favorite in Hawaii, but also across the U.S.,” Biggs said. “But there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re a fan of chocolate chip cookie dough or something more seasonal like our Winter White Chocolate, Baskin-Robbins offers endless flavor options.”
The store’s new modern design is set to delight customers with its inviting atmosphere and an array of festive flavors for the holiday season, including the December Flavor of the Month: Winter White Chocolate, a creamy white chocolate ice cream with chocolate-covered cherry pieces and a cherry ribbon swirl.
For those planning a holiday celebration, Baskin-Robbins is also offering their iconic “Brrr the Snowman” cakes, available in a range of sizes and customizable with any of their 31 signature ice cream flavors.
Beyond satisfying sweet cravings, Baskin-Robbins is committed to giving back to the community. The Baskin-Robbins Joy in Childhood Foundation supports children battling illness or hunger, and the company recently donated $20,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii.
