STARTING OFF THIS MORNING, LOOKING AT SOME PARTLY TO MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES, THIS BEAUTIFUL START TO THE MORNING ACTUALLY FEELS GOOD AS WELL. 53 DEGREES FOR US THIS MORNING. THAT’S A BIG DIFFERENCE FROM YESTERDAY. ALL OF US ARE ABOUT WE’LL SAY 5 TO 15 DEGREES WARMER JUST DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU ARE. LIKE SLIDELL FOR INSTANCE, STARTING OUT AT 50 DEGREES 39 UP IN BOGALUSA. BIG DIFFERENCE FOR HAMMOND AND ALSO HOUMA THIS MORNING. SO 40S AND SOME 50S FOR MOST OF US. YOU WILL FEEL A LITTLE BREEZY OUTSIDE THOUGH. WE’RE LOOKING AT WIND GUSTS ABOUT 28 OVER AT LAKEFRONT. YOU SAW IT THERE ON THE CAMERA. WE JUST SHOWED YOU. BUT THE NORTH SHORE NOT LOOKING TOO WINDY BUT SLIDELL YOUR WIND GUSTS PICKING UP TO ABOUT 16. WE’LL SEE WIND GUSTS TODAY FOR MOST OF US UP TO ABOUT 20 AS WE HEAD INTO THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS. EXPECT THE CLOUDS TO STICK AROUND. BUT WE’LL GET SOME WARMER TEMPERATURES TO TODAY WILL BE A LOT WARMER THAN YESTERDAY. TOMORROW WILL BE EVEN WARMER THAN TODAY, SO TODAY’S HIGHS LOOKING AT THE MID 60S UPPER 60S, VERY CLOSE TO 70 RIGHT THERE ALONG THE COAST. I DON’T THINK WE’LL GET TO 70 TODAY. WE’LL DO THAT TOMORROW. Morning temperatures are starting 5-15 degrees WARMER than yesterday! It’s still chilly outside though, with temperatures in the upper 30s to mid 50s. Wind gusts with reach up to 20 mph today. Highs today rise to the mid 60s with partly to mostly cloudy skies. Lows will be “mild” with upper 40s to upper 50s. We’ll see even warmer temperatures this weekend. Highs rise to the 70s for both Saturday and Sunday. We do have chances for rain, but those chances are only 10-20%. Most of us will stay dry. If you do get rain, it’s likely only going to be a trace. We’re starting next week warm too. Highs Monday through Wednesday will be in the 70s. We have a couple of fronts that will try to move through earlier in the week, but an even stronger one is expect Wednesday into Thursday. We could see our rain chances increase, but temperatures will drop for sure. By Thursday, highs are in the 60s. By next weekend, high temperatures could dip to the 40s and 50s.
