SAN JOSE, CA, January 21, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ — Cora Lam, Senior Principal CAD Engineer at Marvell Technologies, has been named to Marquis Who’s Who for her remarkable contributions in both her professional and community endeavors. A key figure at Marvell for over 23 years, Ms. Lam developed the “Marvell ONE Flow,” a standardized, stable login environment for UNIX engineers, which is vital to the company’s engineering workflows. This system enables seamless collaboration and ensures smooth workflows, particularly during periods of rapid growth and acquisitions. Her efforts have led to increased efficiency and significant cost savings in managing high-performance computing (HPC) simulation jobs across Marvell’s data centers.
Beyond her technical achievements, Ms. Lam was also honored as one of the Silicon Valley Business Journal’s Women of Influence in 2022 for her leadership and commitment to promoting women in STEM and wellness. As a passionate advocate for women in STEM, Ms. Lam has been a key volunteer for the Women at Marvell initiative since 2017. In 2018, she became Marvell’s first mentor for TechWomen (TW), a U.S. Department of State program that brings women Emerging Leaders (ELs) in STEM from over 20 countries from Africa, the Middle East, and South and Central Asia to the San Francisco Bay Area and Chicago for a five- week mentorship program annually. Ms. Lam has since mentored seven cohorts, serving as a cultural mentor, professional mentor, and impact coach, while also building a thriving TW community within Marvell.
Under Ms. Lam’s leadership, Marvell has hosted four TW cohorts, supporting 15 ELs directly from 13 countries, and recruited 21 mentors from Marvell and 3 from outside the company. In recognition of her impact and contribution, Ms. Lam was one of 13 mentors representing the U.S. on the TechWomen Delegation trip to Kazakhstan in 2023 and one of 14 mentors to Tajikistan in 2024. Additionally, Ms. Lam was selected as one of 44 mentors for the inaugural TechWomen Summit in Casablanca. Morocco, in December 2024.
In addition, Ms. Lam actively promotes compassion and well-being in her community through her volunteer work with Bodhi Meditation, founded in 1991 by GrandMaster JinBodhi. The practice, which encourages a healthy and happy lifestyle through meditation and compassion, has spread to over 50 countries, benefiting tens of millions of people. Ms. Lam draws deep inspiration from GrandMaster JinBodhi’s teachings, particularly the principle of “Kind Hearts, Kind Words, Kind Deeds,” which resonates strongly with her own values and guides her in her efforts to foster positivity and compassion in the world.
Originally from Hong Kong, Ms. Lam has tertiary education in production and industrial engineering, operations research, business studies and computer science from institutions in Hong Kong, United Kingdom, and New Zealand.
