BILLINGS, Mont. – Family Service of Billings is bringing holiday cheer to the community with their annual holiday food box distribution. This event aims to support families in need during the festive season.
Felicia Burg, Development Director for Family Service, shared that over 1,200 households will receive more than 60,000 pounds of food. This effort is made possible by generous donations from the Magic City community. “Everyone deserves the magic of the holidays, those childhood memories and being able to cook for your entire family gives everyone a little bit of joy and hope for the future and we believe that everyone should experience the magic of the holidays and that is what we are here doing,” said Burg.
This year, members of HomeFront, formerly known as the Housing Authority of Billings, assisted in distributing hundreds of boxes to those in need. Patty Webster, CEO of HomeFront, expressed the importance of this partnership. “HomeFront loves to serve others in the community and my entire team is full of servant hearts and Family Services goals and values match ours and that’s why we wanted to come out and serve,” said Webster.
For those who have signed up to receive a box, distribution has ended for the day. However, there is another opportunity to collect a food box on December 19, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
If you were unable to sign up this year but are still in need of food, Family Service will be providing holiday food boxes on Friday and Monday.
