Colerain Township police say that an arrest has been made in an armed robbery that took place last week.Police say that Rayshawn Kelley, 38, was arrested Thursday after he and another man robbed the PayMore electronics store in Colerain Towne Center on Jan. 3.Kelley was charged with aggravated robbery and having weapons under disability. Both are felonies.According to police, multiple firearms and narcotics were found inside Kelley’s car at the time of his arrest. Kelley is a convicted felon, making it illegal for him to own firearms.Kelley previously had a robbery conviction from 2007 and a felonious assault conviction from 2012. He also was convicted of having weapons while under disability in 2012 and 2022.Kelley was still on parole for his 2022 conviction.Despite police saying that Kelley was found by them on Thursday with narcotics in his car, no charges for anything related to drug possession appeared in his online listing on the Hamilton County Justice Center’s inmate database.Booking information shows that he was admitted to the jail at 5:02 p.m. on Thursday.Police did not say anything about the other man who is alleged to have also taken part in the robbery.According to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, Kelley’s arraignment is scheduled for Friday.The robbery remains under investigation by the Colerain Township Police Department.
