A Cincinnati-based nonprofit is stepping up to help those affected by the fires affecting Los Angeles.Matthew 25: Ministries’ specialty is helping communities rebuild after disasters. Over the past week, they’ve been focused on getting supplies in the hands of people who really need it.The Blue Ash-based nonprofit has mobilized quickly, getting items out west as fast as possible. Everything from personal care items, to emergency relief items and masks for air quality conditions are included in the shipments.Supplies are stored here in Cincinnati before they get loaded onto semi-trucks, which travel across the country.Once in California, those supplies are given to their partners, who give them out to neighborhoods in need.Matthew 25 says its mission is to provide a foundation for recovery.”We will be helping for as long as the needs continue,” said Ben Williams, Matthew 25’s chief disaster relief officer. “This is going to be a many years’ process for them to rebuild. And, we’ll be providing support and services for them for that long term recovery. “The supplies and everything that we give is kind of temporary. But the hope that can come from those items and the work that we do, could be lasting throughout their recovery processes,” Williams continued.Anyone who would like to help assist Matthew 25’s mission can do so, both through monetary and product donations.
