A Mississippi man has been arrested after being accused of burglarizing a UPS warehouse in Covington. The Covington Police Department launched an investigation Dec. 8 after the package distribution warehouse in the 2000 block of Ronald Reagan Highway reported suspicious activity. Howard Cole, 25, of Laurel, Mississippi was arrested and is facing charges of simple burglary and resisting an officer. Police say Cole did not act alone and are currently searching for Michael Abney Jr., 21, of Laurel, Mississippi. A warrant has been issued for Abney's arrest for the same charges. Police believe Cole and Abney are linked to a multistate burglary ring.
