Multiple schools closed due to winter weather | News


SCHOOL BUS WITH SNOW




Yesterday’s storm has left the area with slick roads and low temperatures, resulting in certain schools across the Local 6 region opening after a delay, closing, or holding Non-Traditional Instruction Days.

Kentucky

Livingston County Schools will be operating on a 2 hour delay and without morning preschool. The school states that this will allow “bus drivers, parents, student drivers, faculty and staff the ability to drive in daylight conditions and the roads to improve.”

Lyon County Schools will also be operating on a 2 hour delay, with classes beginning at 10 a.m. and drop-off beginning at 9 a.m., without morning preschool.

Crittenden County Schools announced that they will be canceling school and having this be NTI Day 2, and requests that students complete day 2 work in their packets. Teachers will be available via email for any questions.

Union County Public Schools announced that they will be closing the school as well as their Apples Childcare Center. This will be an NTI Day, and students should complete the activities assigned by their teachers for NTI Day 1.

Hopkins County Schools announced that they will be closed and this will be a HCS@Home Day, requesting that students complete their HCS@Home Day 1 assigments.

Webster County Schools announced that they will be closed and that today will be a an NTI/Link2Learn Day.

Trigg County Public Schools announced that they will be closed to in-person instruction but that students should complete Day 1 of their NTI assignments. Trigg Tots, however, will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today.

Illinois

Gallatin Community Unit School District 7 announced that they will be closed today.

Pope County Schools announced that they will be closed and that extra curricular activities scheduled for today will be postponed.
