Stronger south winds will also usher in warmer air with highs topping out around 80! There is a slight chance of an isolated shower or thunderstorm through the day and into Saturday night.Here’s the timing for possible severe storms late Saturday night.I expect a line of intense storms to race through Southeast Louisiana from 1 AM – 5 AM bringing threats of winds over 58 mph and isolated, embedded, short-lived tornadoes. This will be a WDSU First Warning Weather Alert Day for early Sunday Morning.Sunday will be much colder with highs down into the 60s.Next week stays in a cool pattern with Monday morning bringing a chance of a light freeze to the most northern parts of the Northshore. Our next round of rain comes Tuesday night and into Wednesday. That will be an Impact Day for possible localized flooding.Much colder air drops in on Thursday where a light freeze could be possible across all of the Northshore.
