Nathan Wood helped Faversham maintain their six-point lead at the Southern Counties East League Premier Division summit with a home win over Tunbridge Wells on Saturday.

The playmaker scored a fine first-half goal and, shortly after top scorer Tashi-Jay Kwayie had made it 2-0 at Salters Lane, Wood added a third on 56 minutes.

Substitute Frannie Collin was on the scoresheet late on, with newly-signed Zak Bryon also coming off the bench to make his Lilywhites debut.

Second-placed VCD remain within shooting distance of Tommy Warrilow’s Town team, having come from behind to earn a 4-1 home victory against second-bottom Lordswood.

Bola Dawodu put the away team ahead in the 11th minute, but Ollie Freeman equalised in first-half injury time, before Lee Bird completed the Vickers’ comeback midway through the second period.

Late goals from Nathaniel Olawole and Harry Lawrence in the last 10 minutes added gloss to the win for VCD, who have two games in hand on the Lilywhites.

Much-improved Kennington pegged back play-off occupants Punjab United to claim a 1-1 draw at Homelands.

A double from vastly-experienced Lydders striker Jerson Dos Santos sandwiched three second-half efforts from James Rogers, Will Dempsey and Ryan Philpott within nine minutes.

Sixth-placed Rusthall secured an eighth triumph in a row, beating visitors Snodland 4-1 at the Jockey Farm Stadium.

All the goals came in the first half as Charlie Clover put the home side in front on five minutes, only for Ryan Thompson to level for Snodland Town, six minutes later.
