LET’S GET OVER TO KELLY RIPPIN KELLY. THIS NEW CRIMINAL COMPLAINT WAS JUST UNSEALED IN THE LAST FEW HOURS. YES. SO NEW THIS MORNING, THE U.S. ATTORNEY’S OFFICE IN THE MIDDLE DISTRICT OF FLORIDA UNSEALED THE CRIMINAL COMPLAINT AGAINST SEVEN CHILEAN NATIONALS, FOUR OF WHOM ARE LINKED TO THE BURGLARY AT BURROWS HOUSE ON DECEMBER 9TH. NOW, ALL SEVEN FACE CHARGES OF CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT INTERSTATE TRANSPORTATION OF STOLEN PROPERTY. THIS COMPLAINT SAYS SERGIO ALEXANDER CHAVEZ MORALES AND JORDAN SANTOS WERE MEMBERS OF A SOUTH AMERICAN GANG THAT TARGETED THE HOMES OF PROFESSIONAL ATHLETES NATIONWIDE. THE COMPLAINT TIES THIS GANG TO OTHER BURGLARIES ACROSS THE COUNTRY DATING BACK TO OCTOBER, INCLUDING THE HOMES OF KANSAS CITY CHIEFS STARS TRAVIS KELCE AND PATRICK MAHOMES, AS WELL AS PLAYERS WITH THE TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS, THE MILWAUKEE BUCKS AND THE MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES. NOW, THE GROUP IS ACCUSED OF STEALING MILLIONS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF JEWELRY AND LUXURY ITEMS. HOWEVER, THIS COMPLAINT DOES NOT SAY WHICH SUSPECTS TOOK PART IN EACH OF THE INDIVIDUAL BURGLARIES. Unsealed complaint ties burglaries of NFL, NBA player’s homes, including Burrow’s, to Chilean nationals; new charges announced
The U.S. Attorney’s Office in the middle district of Florida has unsealed the criminal complaint against seven Chilean nationals, four of whom are linked to the December burglary of Joe Burrow’s home.All seven face charges of conspiracy to commit interstate transportation of stolen property.The complaint says Sergio Cabello, Alexander Chavez, Bastian Morales and Jordan Sanchez were members of a South American gang that targeted the homes of professional athletes nationwide.A grand jury indicted the men on initial charges in January.The complaint ties this gang to other burglaries across the country dating back to October, including those at the homes of Kansas City Chiefs stars Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes, as well as players with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Milwaukee Bucks and the Memphis Grizzlies.The group is accused of stealing millions of dollars worth of jewelry and luxury items. However, the unsealed complaint does not say which suspects took part in each of the individual burglaries.The four men linked to the burglary at Burrow’s house, which happened on December 9 while the Bengals were playing on Monday Night Football, were arrested in Clark County, Ohio, where they are being held on an ICE detainer. Even if they post bond, they will not be allowed to leave the country.According to the full criminal complaint, designer luggage, glasses, watches and $300,000 of jewelry was stolen from Burrow’s home. Records also say it’s believed the men entered “from a wooded area” at the back of Burrow’s property, “where no security cameras were located.” Three of the men – Sanchez, Morales and Cabello – also face charges in Hamilton County of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity and burglary. Combined, the two charges carry a sentence of 19 years.Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich said charges were filed locally because there are no federal charges for burglary.On these new charges, they each face up to 10 years in federal prison.
