As American businessman and former president of the United States Donald Trump assumes office for the second time as the country’s top leader, the spotlight shines on his family once again.
Trump, 78, will be sworn in as the 47th president of the U.S. on Monday at noon ET at the west front of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C..
Trump, who has been married three times, has five children and 10 grandchildren. His eldest grandchild, Kai Trump, in particular has been the subject of social media intrigue ever since she made her political debut on stage at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin last year in July.

“To me, he’s just a normal grandpa,” Kai had said during her speech. “He gives us candy and soda when our parents aren’t looking. He always wants to know how we’re doing in school.”
“A lot of people have put my grandpa through hell, and he’s still standing,” she had added.

How old is Kai Trump?
Kai is 17 years old. She is a junior at The Benjamin School, a private school in North Palm Beach, The Palm Beach, part of the USA TODAY Network reported.
She is expected to graduate in 2026 and then play collegiate golf at the University of Miami.
At 17, Kai is just one year younger than Trump’s youngest child Barron Trump, who is 18.

Born on May 12, 2007, Kai is the daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump (formerly Vanessa Kay Pergolizzi) who divorced in 2018. She is the eldest of Donald Trump’s ten grandchildren and has been in the public eye from a young age, attending high-profile events such as her grandfather’s first inauguration and the White House Easter Egg Roll, USA TODAY previously reported.
Her father, Trump Jr., 47, is an American businessman serving as executive vice president for the Trump Organization, and former reality television personality, appearing on “The Apprentice.” He is an adviser to his father and was a constant feature on Trump’s campaign trail and in the lead up to the inauguration.
Though Kai was born and mostly raised in New York, she now lives in Jupiter, Florida with her mother. She moved to South Florida about four years ago, when she was 13, according to her golf recruiting profiles.

Kai is an avid golfer, playing for the Benjamin School in Jupiter before she moves on to the University of Miami, where she verbally committed in August.
Despite the chaotic political activity in her family, Kai says she hasn’t missed a golf match or practice for her team and was even playing for regionals in Miami on the day of the election, she shared in an Election Day vlog posted to her YouTube channel.
Last year, she announced she won a ladies’ club championship at Trump’s golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida.
During her speech at the RNC, Kai shared that she and her grandfather bond over a mutual love for golf.
“When we play golf together, if I’m not on his team, he’ll try to get inside of my head, and he’s always surprised I don’t let him get to me,” Kai said. “But I have to remind him, I’m a Trump, too.”
Kai Trump’s viral Election Day vlog
Kai’s Election Night vlog, which gave a behind-the-scenes look into what went down at the president-elect’s HQ on Election Night, went viral on social media and has since gathered more than 4.5 million views.
In the video, Kai can be seen getting ready for Election Night before heading to Mar-a-Lago, where her family and other officials of the Trump campaign were watching election results come in.
Kai also provided an inside look into the viral family photo, including Elon Musk, taken in Mar-a-Lago on election night, with footage featuring Trump talking about “dark MAGA” hats.
